It covers permit categories, risk assessment, isolation and LOTO integration, hazardous energy control, Simultaneous Operations (SimOps), Management of Change, permit documentation, authority roles and responsibilities, shift handover, permit suspension and cancellation, and Stop Work Authority.

Through major incident case studies—including Piper Alpha—interactive activities, scenario-based learning, and practical permit-lifecycle exercises, participants learn how to identify permit-related risks, verify critical controls, manage conflicting work activities, conduct effective handovers, and ensure hazardous work is properly authorised, monitored, and closed out.
